FDAは、2014年7月9日にIEC 60601-1-2 Edition 4.0 2014-02を受入れ、2016年8月1日から、IEC 60601-1-2 Edition 3: 2007-03、AAMI / ANSI / IEC 60601-1-2:2007/(R)2012の使用を認めないことを通達しています。

FCCは2014年7月11日に、Twenty-First Century Communications and Video Accessibility Act of 2010 (CVAA)に基づき、2012年から導入されているクローズドキャプションのビデオチップへの追加要求として、2016年から順に要求していくことを公表しています。
